Are You a Fan of Blackberries? 🫐 Sweet, juicy, and packed with nutrients, blackberries are a summertime favorite! These dark, flavorful berries grow on thorny bramble bushes of the Rubus genus, a member of the rose family. Native to northeastern North America, the U.S. Pacific coast, and parts of England, blackberries have been enjoyed for generations. Blackberry season typically runs from June through September, though harvest times can vary by region.

Not only are blackberries delicious, but they're also loaded with health benefits. They're an excellent source of fiber and provide essential vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as several B vitamins that help support overall wellness. Whether enjoyed fresh, baked into a dessert, or added to a salad, blackberries are a tasty way to celebrate the season! 

Bonus Fact: Did you know that blackberries aren’t technically considered true berries? In reality, each blackberry is made up of numerous tiny fruits known as drupelets.
