The Summer Concert Series for 2026 continues with another outdoor concert! Steppin' Out will play from 5:30PM - 8PM on the Pickleball Courts.

Spend time with your neighbors outdoors dining and dancing to amazing music by some of the best bands on California's Central Coast.
This event is complimentary and available for Monarch Club Members and their guests.

FUN FOOD FACT OF THE WEEK

Green beans, also known as string beans or snap beans, are a delicious and nutritious member of the legume family. Unlike dry beans, they are harvested and enjoyed while still young and tender inside their edible pods. With more than 500 varieties grown worldwide, green beans come in vibrant shades of green, yellow, purple, and even speckled patterns. They're also one of the easiest vegetables to grow at home!

There are two main types of green beans. Pole beans grow as climbing vines and require a stake or trellis for support, while bush beans grow in compact plants about two feet wide and don't need any additional support. Thanks to their easy care and abundant harvests, green beans are the third most popular home-garden vegetable in the United States, behind tomatoes and peppers.

In California, fresh green bean season runs from June through October, with the sweetest, most flavorful beans available during the peak summer months of June through August. Not only are they crisp and delicious, but they're also packed with nutrition. Just one cup provides nearly one-third of your daily vitamin C needs and is an excellent source of fiber, vitamins B1 and B6, folate, magnesium, and potassium—making green beans a healthy addition to any meal.

Bonus Fact: A Guinness World Record for the world's largest green bean casserole was established by the Green Giant mascot. Weighing an impressive 637 pounds, the casserole was donated to charity following the official measurement.
